This piece is a donation box for a first class Iron Cross, which was converted for a second class Iron Cross.
It is not known for sure for what purpose it was made and when, as a souvenir, out of respect or just for storage, to preserve its condition, we can only guess, but it is certainly an impressive piece and should be left.
According to the former owner, it was found as part of an inheritance, along with several related items, but they were sold in parts, as he only collected Iron Crosses, so it ended up in his collection for a long time, and now in mine.

The cross that is included is an unmarked Anton Schenkl with standard frame.
If you would like to dismantle the set because you do not need the cross, because you already have it in your collection, then the 150€ that will be deducted from the amount if you want this product.
