These pieces are not easy to find anyway, but there are known pieces that use a mysterious “Z” marking.
Such markings have been found on versions made with a traditional Juncker frame and on two known versions of the “LUG” made by a so-called unknown maker.
Such a piece is included in Dietrich Maerz new EK2 book on page 501.
( the piece in the picture was once in my collection, but interesting ,because the marked mark have in the book, but the cross a different piece ,but I didn’t even understand this when I helped create the book with pictures, why does Maerz still call the piece as “unknown A” piece, but all the same, although I understand his big ego that he wants to tell and change what is already a fact through the pieces presented in his book and confuse collectors with the new definition. otherwise the book contains many mistakes and errors )
This is a too a typical Juncker product (late version, worn -damaged die tool ) as it can be clearly seen in it the version of the inner core used in the Knight Crosses. The condition is perfect
