EK2 Iron cross Friedrich Orth with LDO number L/14

Friedrich Orth has close ties with the manufacturer, also based in Vienna with , Rudolf Souval Wien with PKZ number 98 and used the LDO number L/58 too

This piece is very well and easily recognizable as the typical Souval frame version, but the piece is equipped with an inner core made by Orth.
On these pieces, which have otherwise been found in very small numbers over the years, such an LDO marking has never been found on a frame type made by Orth, but of course this is not ruled out, but for some reason no such example has been found so far.
Don’t be fooled by the Souval frame, as Souval crosses are not rare, in fact it is almost a standard in a collection, but these pieces with the “L/14” marking on the ring are a real curiosity.

I tried to collect all the existing versions, so this too
it was part of a collection and I “picked out” a few hard-to-find types, because these pieces are not very common and are very popular among collectors/maybe that’s why they are hard to find/ because if someone finds one – sometimes, they never sell it, so these rare pieces rarely change hands.
The painting look int the pictures, and on the LDO marking on the cross is very clearly visible and sharp, the L/14 mark is almost complete.
