Knight Cross Steinhauer & Lück B-type / unmarked
This piece is Knight Cross of th Iron Cross /2007 by Dietrich Maerz
Pages 122 – 143 are discussed by Steinhauer & Lück B- TYPE unmarked
This piece is described in the last section of the book, see 139- since these pieces were made towards the end of the war, the apt name B-types is no accident.
Since the tool has worn out over time during the production of many pieces, it has worn out.
On the lower part of the so-called “3 o’clock arm” there are 11 typical damages resulting from tool defects, which are also clearly visible
And on the “6-9 o’clock arm” knee flaw is clearly visible.

I have attached the pictures of the typical “errors” that characterize this B-types.
This piece is fitted with an unmarked and non-magnetic inner core.
The ring is made of 800-grade silver, the so-called “NEUSILBER”, i.e. higher purity silver.
The appearance of the character reflects the traditional and familiar S&L style date numerals on the front and back.
width: 48.36mm
height: 48.34 mm
height with ring: 54.38 mm

This item was not donated. That’s why the price is so high, since the donation starts at 20K, depending on the condition.
Its condition is excellent, almost perfect, as shown in the pictures.

I bought the ribbon separately about 8-9 years ago at the Militaria Berlin Auction House for €850, although they are not matching pieces, I paired the cross and the ribbon for a better presentation and appearance, so it was the centerpiece of my collection..
Completely original and period pieces, like the cross and ribbon.

Knight Cross ribbon length: 180 mm
the size of the black cords: left 320mm & the right 340mm
